Biography

Margherita Busti was born in Perugia in 1988. She began studying piano at the age of eleven, at "Brunone Moneta" Middle School in Marsciano (Perugia, Italy), having Patrizia Altomonte and Paola Ceccarelli as mentors.

At the age of thirteen, she won the First Prize at the National Competition of "Città di Castello". She then continued her musical studies at the Perugia Conservatory of Music, with Professor Maria Flaminia Spaventi and Professor Marco Albrizio, with whom she graduated in 2011 with full marks.

She also graduated with 110/110 in Law at the University of Perugia and qualified to teach Music in secondary schools, at the "Roma Tre" University (2015); then she specialized in the study of supporting activities for students with special educational needs (2018). She has been a Support and Music teacher until 2020, the year in which she became a Piano teacher at the Musical High School in Città della Pieve (PG).

She has taken part in both solo and chamber concerts, including the events for "Marsciano Arte Giovani" festival (2011 edition, with the performance of the Sonata "La Primavera" by L. v. Beethoven, and 2014), in Deruta (in 2011 and 2015, performing works by composers such as J. S. Bach, L. v. Beethoven, F. Chopin, F. Schubert, M. Ravel, N. Rota) and at Castello delle Forme in 2016 ("Rebuilding with music"). In 2018, in 2019 and in 2020 she played in Rome, in the season of the Concerts of the "Tempietto". In 2017 she studied piano at the Academy of Music in Poznań (Poland), as part of the Erasmus + project, with Małgorzata Mataczyńska. From 2020 she collaborates with flutist Elga Buono, in a duo dedicated to film music.

She took part in the advanced piano courses held by Riccardo Risaliti ("Festival delle Nazioni"), Maurizio Baglini, Mariangela Vacatello and Marco Albrizio.
